Juror misconduct frequently results in mistrials and a waste of resources. Links will be provided to sample jury summonses, jury instructions, and other resources to improve juror education and minimize juror misconduct, thereby promoting fairness of trials.

Judges Should Not Disregard Affidavits Alleging Juror Misconduct
As stated previously, judges risk mistrial on appeal (and retrial of the case)if they disregard allegations of juror misconduct.
It is important to consider questioning each juror to determine the facts of the alleged misconduct and how each juror was affected.
